You can review your shipping orders at any time, and our customer service team is ready to respond to any questions you may have.
We provide you with special cargo containers called swap bodies, which you then load with your merchandise. At an agreed time, we pick them up for preliminary transport to our distribution centre.
You (or your suppliers) may also deliver your merchandise to our distribution centre yourself. We take over from there by streaming your goods into our logistics process.
Transshipment hubs in Germany and Poland
Located in the town of Löhne, our German transhipment hub (12,000 sq m / approx. 130,000 sq ft) distributes up to 6,000 cubic metres (approx. 212,000 sq ft) of goods to our despatch depots each day.
Meanwhile our hub in Mosina (located near Poznan, Poland) annually transships 500,000 cubic metres of cabinetry and upholstered furniture received from Eastern European furniture manufacturers. The shipments are bundled and forwarded directly to Hermes depots for final delivery to the consumer. This offers substantial cost-saving advantages with respect to shipping and returns, along with superior flexibility and a transparent flow of goods. It also very substantially reduces overall delivery times.
We collaborate with Hermes Fulfilment GmbH to provide you with flexible warehousing space also located in Löhne, Germany. This facility is directly linked to our transshipment hub there, thus allowing rapid picking and shipping. We also offer you an optional 24-hour delivery service for warehoused merchandise.
