Hanjo Schneider followed up his management studies degree in Germany with an executive MBA at the California State University. His career kicked-off at Dun & Bradstreet where he held various management positions in Europe. Among these, he headed the successful turnaround of the Dun & Bradstreet organisation in Austria. In 1997, Hanjo Schneider was appointed to the executive board at Danzas and headed Danzas Euronet GmbH. In addition to this, in the same year he took on the position of chairman of the executive board at Danzas Deutschland Holding. Hanjo Schneider joined Hermes in 2002, becoming chairman of the executive board of the Hermes Logistics Group. He held this position until 1 July 2008 when he was appointed to the executive board of the Otto Group - a post he officially took up on 1 February 2009. In addition to his activities on the Otto board, Hanjo Schneider was responsible for the development of European joint service provider Hermes Europe where he held the position of CEO. Donald Pilz has a wealth of expertise in distribution logistics (focussing on the CEP market), corporate consulting and e-commerce. Having graduated in business administration, his first professional experience was gathered in a media enterprise in the USA. Afterwards, he returned to Germany and from 1991 opened up new market sectors for the consulting firm PriceWaterhouse in Frankfurt where he held a senior management position. In 1993, Donald Pilz changed professional direction and moved to the transport and logistics industry. After three years serving as CFO of Net Holding B.V. – a pan-European specialist in the after-sales logistics segment – he was appointed chairman of the management board of the company, which had in the meantime become part of the international TNT Group of companies. From 2001 through to 2006, Donald Pilz headed TNT Express Germany as CEO and was responsible for significantly growing the company. His professional career at the listed TNT Group culminated with his appointment as Managing Director of the Central and Western Europe region. As proprietor of an investment and consulting company, from 2010, Donald Pilz consulted companies chiefly in the logistics industry , aiding their growth initiatives. In 2012, he was appointed CEO of Palletways Deutschland GmbH where he was responsible for the successful development of an express freight network on the domestic market. Marc Dessing held various positions at Dun & Bradstreet, the world's leading provider of business information, over a period of 15 years. Here, he gathered his international experience in countries such as Austria and the UK. From 1997, he worked for companies in the DHL/Deutsch Post World Net group of companies, including Danzas and, from 2002, DHL, working in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. In his position at Danzas, he was responsible for the European FTL business, network traffic and the design and implementation of IT support systems. Frank Rausch has been working at Hermes Logistics Group since 2003. As general manager he was responsible for the transport logistics, finance and control divisions, central services, IT and the HR departments. The economics graduate held a number of management positions including that of division manager of logistics steering for Hermes parcel logistics, a post he held from 1998 to 2004. In 2004, he became managing director of Hermes Einrichtungs Service GmbH & Co. KG where he was responsible for all commercial activities and the marketing, sales, client integration and new furniture logistics divisions.

Business engineering graduate Olaf Schabirosky started his professional career at the Otto Group in 1994. From 1999 to 2003, he was CEO at Otto Doosan in South Korea. Following other management positions within procurement management while the Blue Yonder joint venture was being set up, Olaf Schabirosky was latterly responsible for cross-company projects within the Otto Group. Since July 2014, he has been responsible for the newly-established resort of projects and services at Hermes Logistik Gruppe Deutschland and Hermes Transport Logistics. Thomas Horst began his professional career at forwarders Pracht GmbH before moving on to TNT Express GmbH in 1989 where he was latterly divisional manager at the Troisdorf head office. In August 2005 he joined United Parcel Service in Munich as their sales director. He joined Hermes Logistik Gruppe Deutschland in 2010 to head sales and was largely responsible for building up the growing parcel business with clients outside the Otto Group. Stephan Schiller moved from his position as division manager for sales and key account management for group clients at the Otto Group to Hermes Transport Logistics GmbH in April 2010. Previously, he was managing director within the DAL Deutsche Afrika Linien/John T. Essberger group of companies. His joining HTL coincided with the launch of the sea and air division which he actively built up and developed. In September 2010 he headed the operations sea and air division where he was responsible for all sea and air freight activities. Since July 2014, Stephan Schiller has been a member of the Executive Board where he is responsible for supply chain solutions. After completing his doctorate, he began his professional career at McKinsey in 1999. From 2004 to 2008 Dr Georg Rau held a variety of management positions at software developers SAP. He then moved to the logistics enterprise Deutsche Post DHL, joining the Management Board where, among other things, he was responsible for introducing the electronic letter 'E-Postbief' . During his time at DHL he introduced the SAP-based Target-IT platform into the worldwide shipping business at DHL Global Forwarding. Andreas du Plessis can look back on a wealth of experience in the telecommunications and e-commerce sectors. The qualified banker studied business administration, history and politics in Hamburg and Cape Town. As Senior Vice President Business Development, Andreas du Plessis was responsible for developing sales and marketing at Netrada and managed the company's launch into the Chinese market in 2010. From 2012, he was appointed to the board of the British delivery management provider MetaPack where he was responsible for the company's launch to continental Europe, the acquisition of XLogics and for developing solutions for personalised deliveries and multi-carrier concepts. Latterly, Andreas du Plessis was Vice President Global Business Development and CEO EU for TradeGlobal in the US. Here, his prime focus was on omni-channel and global fulfilment solutions. Lutz Lehmann has a wealth of experience in the consumer testing industry, and most recently held the post of vice president at TÜV Rheinland GmbH, a subsidiary of the TÜV Rheinland AG, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and global key accounts. As a business administration graduate who majored in sales and marketing, Lehmann was also deputy director for consumer testing and service quality at SGS, Germany, later becoming business development manager for toys and textiles in Europe. In 2010 he changed location again promoting the certifying agency’s reputation on the local market in Turkey. Michael Dumke kicked off his professional career in 1984 working as a purchaser at the Otto Group where he held a number of positions over the ensuing years . In 1990, the Hamburg native joined Hermes-Otto International GmbH in Hong Kong, sourcing fashion items. His responsibilities here included driving the development of the Asian sourcing market, before in 2000 he changed locations and moved to H-OI Milan in 2000. For the next four years, as a member of the Executive Board, he was responsible for the clothing and consumer goods business unit. Subsequently, Michael Dumke again followed the call of Hong Kong, returning to take up a position on the Board at Eddie Bauer International and then at Lidl Hong Kong Ltd. Carole Woodhead has over 25 years’ experience in distance selling. She joined the Otto Group in 1987 when she took up a position at the home shopping retailer Grattan. Here, Carole held a number of management positions before she was appointed as a senior manager with responsibility for warehouse pick, pack and despatch. In April 2001, after completing an MBA, she joined Parcelnet as Director of Operations, becoming Managing Director three years later. With the introduction of a uniform European brand Parcelnet has operated as Hermes in the UK since March 2009. Carole Woodhead is the UK CEO and a member of the Hermes European Board. In the past three years, Carole has been responsible for the largest investment programme in the company’s history and overseen the transformation of the business into a multi-channel delivery solution. After graduating in business administration, Dieter Zillmann began his professional career at the Hermes Versand Service in 1991. At first he headed the depot at Rheine and later became area manager for Bremen and Hanover. In 2000, Dieter Zillmann came to the company's head office in Hamburg, initially taking up a position as divisional manager for the customer service field team, before being appointed as divisional manager for logistics management at Hermes Logistik Gruppe Deutschland in 2004. For more than 20 years, Mr. Stumpf has been working for the Otto Group in different positions in Germany and abroad. For example, he has been responsible as Director Customer- and Format Management at the European Operations Department of the OTTO GmbH & Co. KG.
As Managing Director, he transformed OTTO B.V., Netherlands from a classic consignor into a modern online-only company. The successful sale of Alba Moda GmbH has been carried out under his leadership.

Aleksey Shulev joined Hermes Group as CEO of Hermes NextTec Russia in 2013, responsible for full-scale ecommerce business in Russia, and then moved to Hermes Russia, as a CEO, responsible for the entire parcel shop business in Russia.

Stefan Petersen has held various positions in financial controlling and in the finance department at Hermes since 2007. He has also made a significant contribution to the internationalisation of the Hermes Group. In 2013 he assumed responsibility for the commercial division of Hermes NexTec GmbH and associated international companies. Prior to working at Hermes, he had worked for ten years for the HDI insurance enterprise.
