Hermes NexTec Manages Onlineshop For Fashion Brand Wolford

Hermes NexTec GmbH expands its business. Following the fashion brand ARQUEONAUTAS, the Austrian clothing manufacturer Wolford is Hermes NexTec'ssecond major client.Specializing in developing and managing onlineshops for companies in the fashion and lifestyle industry, the company successfully migrated Wolford’s webshopto the new software and is running the IT-, Shop- and Content-Managementservicesfor its client.

Altogether 13 country versions of Wolford’s onlineshop were transferredto the new software in three phases. It was programmed in-house by a team of IT-specialists to meet the specific requirements of the fashion and lifestyle branch and has been rolled out for shops in Austria, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Germany, France, Netherlands, England, Luxemburg, Belgium, Ireland, Italy and Sweden. The Swiss version is scheduled for implementation next year.

The software’s modular structure offers flexibility in all shop-management processes. As such, the architecture of the shop along with its codes, features and functions only has to be developed once for all country versions, as in the case of Wolford. Country-specific information, such as language, product ranges, prices and currencies can easily be adapted tothe prevailingtrendsand requirements. All sorts ofcontents and data can be managed separately. Additionally, the internal IT-department of Hermes NexTec implements updates and new developmentseven quicker and easier than before. The goods supply of Wolford’s onlinestoresis centrally managed from a warehouse in Haldensleben, Germany. If a blouse has been ordered in England, for example,it will be deducted from a single stock level. This information is updated and transferred to all country onlineshops.

“With Wolford we have leveraged the international side of our business and are now present in all important European markets. One of the challenges lay in offering common payment methods of each country”, states Holger Lendner, CEO of Hermes NexTec. He points out that the Austrian fashion brand remains owner of the shop, defines the strategy and provides the contents.

Hermes NexTec’s e-commerce service portfolioreplaces the services whichwere formerly rendered through an external companyby Hermes Fulfilment. Hermes Fulfilment, Hermes NexTec'sparent company continues to carry out its services warehousing, distribution and returns management for Wolford’s online product range.
