Hermes Germany GmbH, based in Hamburg, is a leading logistics service provider in Germany and a partner to numerous online shops and multi-channel retailers in Germany and abroad. Hermes Germany focuses on national parcel delivery, but the logistic expert also offers attractive services for international shipping.
Hermes Germany has a strong and established out-of-home network with around 17,000 Hermes ParcelShops nationwide for receiving and dropping off parcels. In the Hamburg metropolitan area, this network is complemented by the Hermes Box. The drop-off points, which can be found in kiosks, petrol stations and beverage stores, offer flexible opening hours and attach great importance to personal contact with customers. Especially in urban areas, customers can usually reach the nearest ParcelShop within a few minutes walking distance.
Hermes Germany transports millions of parcels every week with the ultimate goal of delivering each one safely and intact to its destination. In the vast majority of cases, this is successfully achieved.
According to the Postal Act (section 33 (2)), parcel service providers are obliged to publish statistics on consumer complaints. At Hermes Germany, the proportion of complaints in relation to the total volume of parcel shipments in 2024 was 0.058%. This rate includes complaints about significant service disruptions in parcel handling, including loss, theft, damage and significant delays in delivery. To ensure the greatest possible transparency, Hermes Germany considers all customer complaints about transit times, regardless of whether they are justified or not.
Irrespective of this, Hermes Germany is continuously working to optimize its services and align them with customer requirements. Customer feedback plays a central role in this, as it helps to identify weaknesses and improve the quality of services.
